The photos above are of the actual pen we are offering for sale here

Dating from the late 1940s, this is a Waterman W5 in light and dark blue straited blue pearl marble with gold trim.  The W5 model is distinguished by having three cap bands with the middle band being slightly wider.

The same model pen in black is illustrated as pen 11 in Lambrou's FPOW (1995) on page 44.  Several other variations of this very popular striated plastic are also shown on this page

This is fitted with its original medium 14k nib, imprinted 'Waterman's 14ct W5', which produces a line of around 0.4mm

This shows hardly any signs of being used and in excellent overall condition with very crisp barrel imprints as shown in the photos above

This fills from an ink bottle using the lever on the side of the barrel and does not take cartridges. We have serviced the pen which includes fitting a new ink sac

Condition A2/1f - (Ref 13341)

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen and ultrasonically cleaning all the parts.  We then reassemble the pen and fit the correct size of new ink sac, check the ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.  We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.

This pen comes with our normal 12 month warranty.  We keep a detailed record of each customer's purchases so if you need to call us, we will have all the information here to answer any query
