This is a superb example of the touchdown filling Signet snorkel fountain pen with the gold filled finish to both the cap, barrel and plunger knob. Sheaffer first launched pens with the snorkel filling mechanism in 1952, and this dates from the mid 1950s by which time the English Sheaffer company had been formed
The fountain pen is fitted with a medium bi-colour 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm in width
We have fully serviced the filling system which is working well with new seals and a silicone sac.
The set comes with its original contemporary Sheaffer hard shell box and paper instructions
Overall the condition of this pen is superb with no signs of it having been used

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen and ultrasonically cleaning all the parts. We then reassemble the pen; fit a new ink sac and replace seals in the nib unit and barrel which are needed to ensure the pen creates a vacuum for filling. We then check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.
