This is the Parker Sonnet in the Chinese amber laque design from the Chinese laque series which was in production from 1994-97. This series features the red Chinese characters on the side of the cap as shown in the photos
This is the rollerball version which takes the modern Parker rollerball refills, one of which will be supplied with the pen
This example shows no signs of having been used and has its original Sonnet Laque de Chine clip tag.
The I date code on the cap imprint shows that this was manufactured in 1994
