This is an English Parker Duofold AF from around 1948 in black with gold trim. The 'AF' stands for 'aluminium filler' which refers to the material for the filling button and its casing
This is fitted with its original 14k gold nib with the imprint "Parker Duofold 14k Pen N" with the 'N' signifying that it was made at Parker's factory at Newhaven, England
This is a paintbrush of a nib! It's a stub nib which means that its vertical lines are much broader than its horizontal ones. The vertical writing line of this nib is around 1.3mm (about a 4B with Parker) while its horizontal line is about 0.6mm. The nib is a very smooth writer with good ink flow
This is a nib for large signatures and writing Christmas cards!
This pen doesn't take cartridges. It fills from an ink bottle using using Parker's traditional button filling system
This has seen little use and is in excellent overall condition with very crisp imprints on the barrel as can be seen in the photos
Condition A2/1 Bx4 stub - (Ref 12911)
