Produced by the Parker factory in France, this is the Parker 75 fountain pen in sterling silver in the small squares pattern known as the Cisele design
The Cisele design was first used by Parker on the Parker 75 range from 1964 before also featuring in the Sonnet, Premier and Insignia ranges
This is fitted with an original French 18ct gold nib which is numbered 79 on the feed. This is Parker's designation for a broad oblique italic nib which is cut at 30 degrees from top right to bottom left. Most manufacturers describe a nib as either oblique or italic but not both. Parker was alone in using 'oblique italic' to signify a nib which is both oblique (cut at an angle from top right to bottom left) and italic (a sharp cut nib unlike the much more bulbous and rounded standard oblique). Parker's oblique nibs were cut at either 15 degrees or the more extreme 30 degrees as with this one
This nib produces excellent line width variation - from around 0.4mm (fine width) going from bottom left to top right and then 1.0mm (double broad) from top left to bottom right
This takes modern Parker ink cartridges or fills from an ink bottle using the converter
This is unused, new old stock and in superb condition
Condition A2/1 broad oblique (Ref 13018)
