The photos above are of the actual pen we are offering for sale here
This is an English Parker 65 Presidential in 9k gold with barley engine turning to the cap and barrel. Each gold part of the pen is separately hallmarked by the London Assay Office with the clip and cap being marked '9 .375' for 9k gold and the barrel carrying the full set of assay marks for the Parker Pen Company (PPCo) and the date letter 'r' for 1972
The 65 is a variant of the 61 with the sole difference being the design of the nib unit - unlike the 61 with its hooded nib, the 65 has a traditional open nib. Any cartridge/converter 61 nib unit could be interchanged for the 65 unit if a hooded nib is preferred
This is fitted with a 14k gold stub nib which produces a horizontal writing line of around 0.3mm (fine) and a vertical line of around 0.9mm (broad+) so this stub nib produces a good variation in line width
In terms of condition, this has been carefully looked after and is in good overall condition. There is one small shallow ding on the cap. The cartouche has been engraved - see photos above
Condition B/1 Stub [engraved cartouche] - (Ref 12893)

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a converter. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip and cap fit.
This fills from an ink bottle using the converter (supplied) or will also take regular modern Parker ink cartridges.
This pen comes with our normal 12 month warranty. We keep a detailed record of each customer's purchases so if you need to call us, we will have all the information here to answer any query
