This is an English Parker 51 Custom in black with the uncommon rolled silver cap with gold clip and is fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.4mm
Condition wise, this is a superb example and shows no signs of having been used with very crisp imprints on the barrel. As is usual with the rolled silver caps, this shows the very superficial surface marks in the lacquer finish Parker applied to prevent the silver from tarnishing - see the two large photos showing the front and back of the cap. The photo of the back of the cap also shows the 'R Silver' imprint
In terms of dating, this was probably manufactured 1958 which is confirmed by the other design features such as the cap imprint being a simple 'Parker' and the earlier cap clutch design
This comes with the contemporary Parker 51 box and the instructions as shown in the photos
