This is a boxed English Parker 51 Mk1 Custom fountain pen and pencil set in light burgundy with rolled gold caps. The pen's fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.4mm
The pencil has the continuous feed clutch type mechanism and is operated by moving the cap up and down. This takes standard modern 0.9mm leads
Condition wise, both the pen and pencil are in superb condition and show no signs of having been used. Both caps are very crisp and clean. Both the pen and pencil barrels have some of the original factory chalk marking
The pen's barrel imprint ('Parker Made in England') and pencil barrel imprint ('Parker "51" Made in England .6.') are both very crisp with the pencil's production date being 1956
Design features such as both caps having the simple 'Parker' imprint to the front and the standard rolled gold imprint on the reverse; the pen cap having the earlier cage clutch and the slightly shorter clip so all agree with these being produced in the mid 1950s as per the date code
The set comes with the hardshell Parker box and instruction leaflet shown in the photos. This design of this box is one used by Parker in the 1950s

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
This pen comes with our normal 12 month warranty. We keep a detailed record of each customer's purchases so if you need to call us, we will have all the information here to answer any query
