This is an English Parker 51 Mk1 Custom in black with a rolled gold cap. It's fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.4mm
Condition wise, this is in good overall shape with crisp barrel imprints and has been fully refurbished. The cap is very clean with no dents, dings or any signs of plating wear
In terms of dating, the cap has the simple 'Parker' imprint to the front and the standard '1/10 12ct R.Gold' imprint to the rear. The cap has the the earlier cage clutch but the later shorter clip so mid/late 1950s

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
