Refurbished English 51 Classic in teal blue with steel cap from the mid/late 1950s - fitted with a medium italic 14k gold nib
This is fitted with a 14k gold medium italic nib with a writing width varying from 0.4mm on horizontal lines to 0.8mm vertical strokes. The purpose of a italic nib is to give variation in line width unlike standard fine, medium or broad nibs which produce the same line width (monoline) regardless of which direction the nib is travelling. This italic nib is cursive as the usually sharp edges have been smoothed
This fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
