English Parker 51 Mk1 Classic in light burgundy with the steel Classic cap and original factory chalk marks. This is fitted with an medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm
In terms of condition, this appears not to have been used. It still has the original factory chalk marks for the model and nib grade on the barrel. The original frosting is still present on the cap. Overall, this is in superb condition
This dates from the late 1950s as it has the early cage clutch in the cap, the simple Parker cap imprint and the earlier metal sac protector with the black tip
This comes with a contemporary Parker hardshell box and a set of instructions. The box, also about 60-70 years old, is showing slight discolouring and wear to the external corners

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
