This is an English Parker 51 Mk1 Classic in grey with a brushed steel cap. It's fitted with a medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm
Condition wise, this is in good overall shape and has been fully refurbished. The cap is particularly clean with no dents, dings or other issues
In terms of dating, the cap has the simple 'Parker' imprint, the earlier cage clutch and the earlier long clip. The barrel imprint includes the date code of '3' for 1953

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
