This is an English Parker 51 Classic Mk1 with steel cap in dark burgundy and is fitted with a medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm.
Condition wise, this is a superb example which shows no signs of having been used. The cap has all its original factory frosting and is very clean.
In terms of dating, this is from the early 1950s as it has the simple Parker cap imprint, the earlier cap clutch design and the 'Made in England' barrel imprint. The cap also features the earlier longer clip which is typical of production in 1949 and the very early 50s
This is an aerometric Parker 51. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
