This is an English Parker 51 Mk1 Classic in black with a brushed steel cap. It's fitted with a fine-medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.5mm - normal fine is around 0.4mm and a medium is 0.6mm - so this is between the two in width
Condition wise, this is in good overall shape with readable barrel imprints and has been fully refurbished. The cap is crisp with no dents, dings or any other issues
In terms of dating, the cap has the simple 'Parker' imprint, the earlier cage clutch but the later shorter clip so mid/late 1950s

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
