This is an excellent English Parker 51 in black with steel Classic cap. This is fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of approx 0.4mm
In terms of condition, this has been carefully looked after and has seen very little use. It is in excellent overall condition with crisp barrel imprints and only some superficial marks to the original cap frosting
In terms of dating, this probably dates from the mid/late 1950s as the cap has the earlier cage clutch, only a simple 'Parker' imprint on the cap below the clip, and barrel imprints without a date imprint

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
