This is American Parker 51 Custom in grey with a gold filled cap and is fitted with a fine 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.4mm
Most of our 51s were manufactured in the UK. This example was produced in the Parker factory at Janesville in the USA. The imprints on the cap, sac protector and the nib all include the USA. In most respects, American and English 51s are virtually identical in terms of design and materials
Condition wise, the pen has been lightly used but is in excellent overall condition. In particular, the cap is very crisp with no dings or signs of wear
In terms of dating, this is probably from around 1960 given that it has the later four finger clutch in the cap and includes the Halo mark in the cap imprint

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
