English Parker 51 Classic Mk1 in teal blue with the steel Classic cap. This is fitted with a smooth broad 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.8mm
In terms of condition, this has been well looked after and is in excellent overall condition. Barrel imprints (Parker Made in England) are slightly worn but still clearly show the production code of '6' for 1956. The cap is very clean with no dings or no pressure splits in the steel.
In design terms, this date code for 1956 is correct as the cap has the slightly shorter clip, the earlier cage clutch and the simple Parker imprint on the front

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib. We also check and adjust the tightness and positioning of the clip.
This is a Parker 51 with the aerometric filling system. The pen fills from an ink bottle and does not take cartridges
