This is an excllent example of the classic TM touchdown filling Valiant snorkel fountain pen with gold trim manufactured in Australia. This dates from around 1952 when Sheaffer first launched pens with the snorkel filling mechanism
The fountain pen is fitted with a medium bi-colour 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm in width
We have fully serviced the filling system which is working well with new seals and a silicone sac.
The set comes with its original contemporary Sheaffer card pen box
Overall the condition of this pen is excellent and there are only minor signs of it having been used

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen and ultrasonically cleaning all the parts. We then reassemble the pen; fit a new ink sac and replace seals in the nib unit and barrel which are needed to ensure the pen creates a vacuum for filling. We then check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.
