This is a boxed set of the classic TM touchdown filling Statesman snorkel fountain pen and matching pencil in grey with gold trim with both pieces manufactured in Australia. Both date from around 1952 when Sheaffer first launched pens with the snorkel filling mechanism
The fountain pen is fitted with an extra fine palladium-silver nib which produces a writing line of around 0.3mm. The pencil has the propel/repel type mechanism which operates by turning the cap and takes 0.9mm leads
We have fully serviced the pen's filling system which is working well with new seals and a silicone sac.
The set comes with its original Sheaffer 'New Snorkel' pen box and the original filling instructions
Neither the pen nor the pencil show any signs of having been used and are in excellent condition. The pen still has its original 'Statesman' label

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen and ultrasonically cleaning all the parts. We then reassemble the pen; fit a new ink sac and replace seals in the nib unit and barrel which are needed to ensure the pen creates a vacuum for filling. We then check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.
This pen comes with our normal 12 month warranty. We keep a detailed record of each customer's purchases so if you need to call us, we will have all the information here to answer any query
