This is a Waterman's thermometer case which would have been part of a Nurse's or Doctor's set in the 1940s along with a matching fountain pen and pencil. It does not come with a theromometer

Typically all three pieces were in a cream or ivory marble with the clip screw of the thermometer being marked in red so it was easy to pick out from the other two pieces when tucked in the pocket
Condition wise, there are no cracks or splits in the cap or barrel; there's slight plating wear to the two cap rings.

We have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen and ultrasonically cleaning all the parts. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.
