{"product_id":"parker-duofold-centennial-in-silver-godron-with-matching-pencil-gold-trim-broad-nib","title":"Parker Duofold Centennial in silver godron with matching pencil, Gold trim - Broad nib - Boxed","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe photos above are of the actual pen we are offering for sale here\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eProduced in England, this is a Centennial Duofold fountain pen in the silver godron pattern from 1993 with the matching pencil.  This is fitted with a broad 18k gold bicolour nib with the arrow imprint which produces a writing line of around 0.8mm\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Centennial is the larger version of the Duofold with the International having a slightly smaller diameter\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis takes standard modern Parker cartridges or a Parker converter for filling from an ink bottle\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pencil has a propelling mechanism which is operated by rotating the gold crown above the clip and takes 0.9mm leads\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition wise, this shows no sign of having been used and comes with the original box, card outer case and warranty leaflet\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition A2\/1b - (Ref 13099)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn 1990, Parker revised the design of the original 1987 Duofold by improving the appearance and durability of the clip. Visually, the clip stands out with raised feathers rather than the earlier engraved version. Additionally, the gold cap and barrel bands became raised or convex rather than flat. The location of the 'Parker Made in UK' imprint was switched from the back of the cap to the blind cap at the end of the barrel\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis pen features the raised flight feathers on the clip, the convex bands and the blind cap imprint which is all correct for early 1990s production\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen and ultrasonically cleaning all the parts.  We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.
