The pen's fitted with a medium 14k gold nib which produces a writing line of around 0.6mm\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe pencil has a propelling mechanism which means that the lead is advanced or withdrawn by rotating the cap.  New leads are inserted through the front nozzle.  This pencil takes 0.9mm leads\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition wise, both the pen and pencil show zero signs of having been used. Both caps retain all of the original factory frosted finish  The lucite (type of plastic) front shell and barrels are in superb condition.  Both the pen and pencil have their original price stickers attached to the clips\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDesign features such as both caps having the simple 'Parker' imprint to the front and the 'Made in USA' with the Halo logo on the reverse together with the later four prong cap clutch date these to around 1962\/63\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe set comes with the hardshell Parker box and instruction leaflet shown in the photos.  This box was also made in the USA and is Box Design #235\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe instruction leaflet is also interesting as it shows not only the regular aerometric 51 but also the short lived cartridge-fill 51.  This leaflet is dated 11-63 for November 1963\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a superb set for a 51 collector!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCondition A2\/1m - (Ref 13374)\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"product-single__description rte\"\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"product-single__description rte\"\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSee our \u003ca class=\"text-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.penhome.co.uk\/pages\/our-pen-condition-scale\" target=\"_blank\"\u003eCondition Grading Scale\u003c\/a\u003e \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have fully serviced this pen which includes disassembling the pen, ultrasonically cleaning all the parts and fitting a new pliglass ink sac. We then reassemble the pen, check ink flow and the smoothness of the nib.
