restored and rebuilt Spanish classical guitars and lutes, he turned his
attention to pens...
Henry had already become a vintage pen
collector in the late 1980s and learned how to restore his own collection. He
has devoted his time entirely to restoring and trading in writing instruments
since 1995, not just rescuing treasured pens but also making precious metal
overlays.
He was commissioned by the Battersea
Pen Home to create a series of silver and gold overlaid Conklin crescent filler
pens - and was inspired to create his own Snake pen design and to take it from
the drawing board to reality.
Henry spent a year perfecting his
design, but never lost sight of his original philosophy - or his love of Heath's
original snake pen overlays and the dedication and talent that went with them.
