The Intricate Filigree
The Open Filigree

Capturing the imagination and style of the early 20th century, the Battersea Pen is created from the finest materials - an original black hard rubber (vulcanite) pen from the 1920s - contrasting with the classic design of a modern sterling silver filigree overlay
The pen body has been carefully chosen from the model range produced by Conklin in 1920s America. Famous for its crescent filling system, Conklin pens are highly sought after by collectors throughout the world.
The overlay designs have been created and fashioned by hand by Henry Simpole - a Devon based craftsman and dedicated pen enthusiast.
Each piece truly unique as each overlay is designed and engraved by hand - each marked with ‘.925’ for the silver standard and ‘BPH’ with a serial number
Apart from initial designs, each pen is produced to order - perhaps the most limited of all limited production pieces. As these unique pieces are made by hand, only two or three pieces per month will created

Pens may be reserved with a 20% deposit. At the time of reservation, the customer will be advised of the delivery time which will usually be within four weeks.

Pens will be shipped by Fedex at no extra charge

Each pen is presented with a box and a numbered certificate signed by the partners of the Battersea Pen Home and Henry Simpole.
