To mark
Parker's 100th anniversary in 1988, Parker introduced a new design Duofold. The
style was very much a recreation of the 1920s Lucky Curve Duofold with straight
sides to the cap and barrel
When George Parker was travelling in China in
the mid 1920s, his wife persuaded him to buy a beautiful yellow cloisonné vase.
When he returned to the USA, this vase inspired him to create examples of the
Parker Duofold in mandarin yellow. Details are in the latest book on the
Duofold by David Shepherd and Dan Zazove.
Following on from the success of the 1995
edition of 10,000 pieces of the Mandarin Duofold, Parker are now introducing the
Duofold Cloisonné - a much more limited edition of 3900 pieces.
