   Parker 51s

Coronet or Chevron 14k cap design

Ref 3124 - Parker 51 Blue Diamond Vacumatic - This is probably the rarest of all Parker 51s - the 14k solid gold Coronet cap - in two color (pink/green) gold with an alternating line/arrow design. This design was featured in Penworld's Jan/Feb 1996 edition on page 52. This article commented that 'at least two fully signed American 51 caps have been found in the Coronet pattern' - well, this is then the third example. The cap lip has the standard factory imprint '14k Gold Made in USA'. The clip is also marked 14k. The set which was featured in Penworld was also featured on the front cover of our July 1997 catalog at $7425 (£4500).

also shows the 14k mark on the clip ring which is a standard feature of solid gold capped 51 pens and pencils.  The nozzle of the pencil and the tassie on the pen's blind cap should also be marked 14k.
